What bike did you ride today?

My son decided he wanted the black ‘51, but with red tires & grips. Had to take it for a test ride before handing it over.

    Painting Whizzer head.

Have it blasted clean, the paint will just burn off eventually anyway.

    Phantom Rear brake assy

Their pretty easy to rebuild, I did my first one when I was around 8 years old with no manual or instructions. Just pay attention to the order you disassemble it & you’ll be fine. Parts are readily available also.

    Phantom Rear brake assy

I think it should be a red band RB-2.

    Let's see those baskets !!!

I love this old pieced together Corvette. It’s my parts/beer run machine.

    Repop hanging tanks

When real items are unobtainable folks will pay top dollar for reproductions. I made around 200 of these reproduction AR-15 carbine stocks & sold every one a few years back. They were only a few made originally before Colt developed an easier cheaper design...

I no longer own it. I think it was a 1964

    Schwinn Base Coat

Don’t know if this helps, but I managed to recreate a decent Coppertone using Duplicolor “Chrome” engine paint for a base, with a light coat of Duplicolor “Copper” over it.

    1950 Straightbar build.

Hahaha! Maybe I’ll let the “experts” decide what letter to be stamped once it’s done? Maybe it’ll make them feel important? :-)

    1950 Straightbar build.

It’s getting too hot to do much bicycle work here in Phoenix, but I have a replacement frame thanks to Danny the Schwinn freak. The letter on the serial number is worn off, so the exact year can’t be determined. I like this fact.
