IDing a couple of parts bikes- Dayton and CWC ??

Picked up a couple of frames and bits, probably just for parts. The Dayton has a serial # of 13996, no prefix. Mid 30s? Not sure about the red one- maybe a CWC?

Straightening pedals - worked for me

I had good luck straightening a pair o’ Torrington pedals from my c.1939 Excelsior. I chocked a threaded cast iron union up in my vice whose inner diameter was about the same dia. as the grease cup of the pedal. This seemed to apply pressure in the right places and slowly pushed back into place...

    1930s-40s Excelsior

Finally back together. Went for the shakeout cruise this afternoon- there was some technical difficulties on the ride back where the rear hub innards tried to unscrew themselves but I will sort that out. Anyway, will be on the lookout for a few more period accessories and a drop stand for less...

i.d. help wanted - Western Flyer sonic...rocket...er...space missile

Thanks- I think its all there. All the lenses are intact, I will have a peak under the bonnet when I get back Are all the light tank parts intact? PS Flight/Spaceliners didn't have dual fop bars IIRC.

Oh snap! Beater snap tank new acquisition. Colson?

Updates and a question. An interesting blue on blue paint scheme beneath. So far have just been using a plastic scraper and going for the low hanging fruit of unbonded paint layers. I hate that you all might guilt me in to this :) as I go blind and insane. So question: the head badge nuts are...

i.d. help wanted - Western Flyer sonic...rocket...er...space missile

I picked this up as part of a package deal with a 30s snap tanker (separate post). Its out of my wheelhouse of main interest but the more I look at it, I kinda like it. Seems to be dead original, and I think all the hard to find / easy to break bits are all there. Came with a bonus...

Oh snap! Beater snap tank new acquisition. Colson?

Just picked this and a 60s Western Flyer space / sonic something or other (separate post). Pretty sure its a Colson / sister brand but will do a little careful paint removal around the head to see if I can see a ghost of the badge (missing prior to re-paint). Has been painted over obviously...

    1935 Silver king

Sweet ride! What are you going to do with it? I just picked up a similar one. I was going to / still might fix it up for my wife to see if I could spread the bike obession disease to her (veteran marriage move). We'll see. Anyway, good luck with yours. I'd love to see a closer shot of the seat...

    1930s-40s Excelsior

Almost back together...so the 2nd and 3rd pictures convince me that this was not re-badged. I took apart the bottom bracket at it was a real hodge podge of parts. 2 different bearing manufacturers. I'm thinking that the chainring and possibly crank might not be original. If it isn't a Harris...

Help sourcing a bottom bracket for a 1980s Gazelle Dutch city bike - Aardvark alert??

Thanks for the info! - Based on what non-fixie sent, I've been able to find one (in Europe) similar in 35mm press fit, the axle is slightly longer which I will look to see if its going to matter. Otherwise....
