    Cool. I did a 3 mile fitness test a few years back on my Trek. It was part of the Carmichael Training Method. I don't remember the time, but it rated me as an average, but fit rider. I never tried a 1/4 mile test.

    I rode more than I wrenched when I was younger because I wanted to keep my weight off. - as I aged, I had more problems with heat exhaustion and such. It was harder to do the long rides.

    When I was into mountain biking, building them up from a frame was a way to save money with used, but current parts. -Gradually, I began to build up from a frame to in order to ride exactly what I wanted.

    I'm thinking early 70s, because the shifter cables are routed through steel "ears" over the top of the bottom bracket. - I had a Ron Cooper with ears like that.
