Look Ma, No Hands!
I was hoping some one would know what size spokes to use to lace up a 26" 1948 Schwinn rear high flange single speed free wheeler hub, or point us in the right direction.

^this site is a spoke length calculator. There is also a 'how to' measure page to ensure accuracy.
In my experience, rounding down has served me best with this calculator. Example, plug in all fields and get 260.3mm as the answer. I would order 259mm spokes. If only even numbers are available, 258mm. (I do so to account for a potential small margin of error on my behalf.)
Although this forum is mostly American made bike focused, most shops, and spoke retailers, measure in millimeters, not inches. So if you go asking for 10 5/8'' spokes, they will potentially ask you what size you need in mm.
