Horn tank

Is there anyway to tell the difference between a 41 tank and a postwar version w/o removing the tank to inspect how the two halves attach?

Pretty hard to tell if you're talking cantilever... The dyes got worn out as time went on and the embossing
was not so crisp over time. You would have to pull the tank and check to see if the brackets that hold it
together are "threaded" or tapped....or have the clips. Clips are post war. ...threaded pre.

I have a O55523 1938 frame that I needed to know if this tank would fit. Thank you all for your input, and it looks like this is the one I needed!
