On Training Wheels
1969 (I believe) Schwinn Apple Krate. I'm not an expert on these bikes, so if I post any incorrect information, or someone can add something, please feel free.
To me it appears to be original paint. Chrome is in what I'd consider good shape. Wear/scuffs typical of what would be expected of a bike this old (see handlebars, frame pictures). Tires are reproduction. Seat is from Ebay, from what is stated to be official Schwinn approved vendor that redoes the seats using an original refurbished pan (to my knowledge, it is not a repop, as I tried to avoid that stuff if at all possible). New cables and rear reflector. Previous owner knew very little about it. I simply cleaned it up, replaced the seat with the correct one, replaced the cables, purchased the rear reflector, and bought a used/original overload tube for the shifter. There is some engraving on the head tube by the "Schwinn" badge, not sure of the significance.
I'm located in Western WI. Prefer local pick-up, but am willing to help with shipping. Email works best for me, initially.
$1450 obo. I'm not really looking to trade for anything.
