Found this last week. Retrieved from Burlington Wisconsin. Belonged to a track racer from Chicago. Still trying to get more info on that.
I believe it to be a 1939 Schwinn Superior because of the serial number. Notably the front fork is not drilled for a fender or brake fitting. Also, the head badge only has “AS” on it and not any other indication of “Superior” as you find on many other similar head badges. Got a little bit of bend in the forks but other than that, I’m inclined to display with oil, grit, rust, cobwebs, and all! (But I’ll have to hold back the urge to clean er up!!) Oh, and that’s lovely Lake Michigan in the background! My first post here on the CABE. Hope you enjoy.
