Also just noted your drop stand in the vertical 12/6 position as it is on my bike as well.

It does not do a good job keeping the bike up though. I usually put a small 1/4 round wood wedge on the front tire.
 
Thanks guys! Yes Eddie, it is an after market dropstand that just doesnt fit right! Thanks for the info!
 
Yes it is Don, but I was referring to the vertical position of the drop stand. It’s the same way on my bike and I have the original braced drop stand.

It does a lousy job of keeping the bike erect. I’m not sure why the really early bikes are that way. Maybe the tangs are in a slightly different position ?

Pretty sure the color on your bike was Maroon w/white frame darts.
Im pretty sure the original paint was black. There was some small pieces of painted frame you could see Black.
