Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Really great bike from the original family in Chicago, really kept well maintained. I had Uship deliver
the bike because I didn't want it broken down / wrenched on. I'd call this a solid 8 out of the 10 scale
condition wise. Paint is still vibrant, pinstripes are fantastic, original key in lock, original Typhoon
tires, etc. The only issue was the headlight battery tray had rusted the floor of the tray, I cleaned it
up and reriveted it back in place. A really nice riding bike, took it for spin this afternoon... big ND
cog on bag for easy pedaling. Just a great survivor and next to the 49' Phantom, my favorite year
due to the new colors and still retaining the deluxe parts. 55' and up ushered in the end times for
the Phantoms with cheaper parts added. A great bike that should be worth a heck of a lot more
than I'm asking... (originals like this way rarer than common krate bikes that litter the earth but bring
ridiculous money lately). Price is firm.
Hard to tell in the pix but the paint IS the metallic red/ candy red, not the solid red of the earlier bikes.
2800.00 and if push comes to shove I will ship but would rather not.
