Snooping around a post

This just happened to me ,,I spyed some toys and an oil can that IngoMike had in a photo,,I asked ,and both him and I were Happy ,,and a deal was made,,a first for me ,,I first felt like one of those guys ,,who peers under a tarped load of bikes and parts,,with a flashlight ,,at 4 AM coming to a swap,,seeing whats there ,but now I have gotten over it.

Once a lady was selling some junk shown in an old fashioned wooden compartmented box, so I asked about it; apparently, so had many others, (perhaps unexpected).
The lady exclaimed how she would never do that again (show junk in nice NFS? box).
Not sure if the box was intended as a mere prop, to make the junk look more rustic?

You should never show/include anything that isn’t part of the sale.

I try to put big sheets of cardboard behind any bikes I take a picture of in my shop. not to hide all my cool stuff, but to hide the mess.

I don't do it, but when someone points out something they've seen in the background of a picture I will go look at it closer. I have to say I'm amazed at what some of you can pick out of a background of a photo .

i was looking at lawn mowers one time and saw just a little bit of the quarter panel of a old car which looked to be a mustang ? and ended up buying his 66 mustang a few months later, definitely doesn't hurt to ask !!

That is how I found a red Brooks saddle I'd been looking for. Manuelvilla was a joy to deal with!

I definitely do this, and I also make sure there's nothing in the background that i wouldn't at least hear offers on when I sell.
