The Madd Hunn

Look Ma, No Hands!
For sale, 1970's NEWSBOY special. This is a beautiful, complete bike. Awesome condition. Only the inner tubes and the seat post has been replaced. The wheels are immaculate. The paint is vibrant. The tires are the original Goodyear, studded tread. The only flaws are the decals, and a few touch up spots on the paint. If you have been looking for one of these, this IS the one. I'm not giving this away, due to the rarity & condition of the bike.

The pedals are definitely original, UNION brand. The chain is a HKK, made in Japan. I do not know if that's the brand it came with. It is a heavy chain, top quality.
The original seat post was somehow lost.....looked everywhere for it. The replacement is a WALD brand. It looks great, and will do the job.

Nice bike. Are the chain and pedals being replaced as well?
The pedals are original UNION brand. The chain is a HKK brand. Made in Japan, heavy & top quality. I do not know if that is the original chain. I am not a bike expert by any stretch of the imagination. And the seat post is a WALD brand replacement.

Thanks for the props !!! I won't leave this up too much longer. Probably just gonna keep it to ride. I had this model of bike back in 1974, when I started delivering the Sacramento BEE. My friends all had Schwinn Heavy-Duti's and they clowned me unmercifully about my NEWSBOY SPECIAL....I do not remember how I got rid of it, but I ended up with a red, Schwinn Heavy-Duti of my own. Honestly, this bike is way better than shown in the pics. Maybe you can help....the serial # on the NBS is S-323260.
