Got the first coat of primer on the forks for my prewar tall frame Schwinn straight bar. And then I remembered that I had a chrome Ranger fork from a stalled 1941 Hollywood project. So the new straight bar gets a chrome fork and the primed fork will get painted 2 tone green to match the Hollywood

Did some dialing on this one today. Dropped the seat a notch to make getting on and off easier...was quite the high flyer being a 24" bike. The derailleur was doing some funky things, found loose pivot arm bolts and a frayed cable binding in the housing. Tightened the bolts and replaced the specialty 333 overload tube cable and it goes through the gears again. It also had the dreaded Murray crown race wobble going on. Put some two part epoxy under that and trimmed the excess. No more wobble! Adjusted the brake pads to grab better too.

Didn't expect to do all that today. Sure enough, by the time I got done dialing it in and testing all the gears in the parking lot across from me, here comes the funky clouds!! Decided to put it away and drive to dinner instead.
