What holds this in?

I'm trying to put a new cable in one of my fastbacks. And I have never taken apart a brake lever before. So I'm wondering what it takes to hold this piece in the lever?

Cable tension.
That's all and it will stay very well when the cable is tensioned.

Okay I haven't actually tightened it up yet. I've never taken one apart before and I'm trying to put this one back together
