Another bev lock bites the dust…..I’ve had this on my Hextube since the 90’s. Long before I knew what prewar and postwar was bike wise. It just looked cool cause it had the same red inset paint as on the hex. I recently bought what was told an appropriate late 40’s Monark stem to replace. Well, I was trying to slip it past the cross bar flat area and SNAP. I know these are kinda inherently weak, so I was going easy on it. Nope…..Glad I wasn’t standing up and pumping when this pos decided to fail!!!!

I started on the Huffman today! Those gills are a pain to straighten! I'm going to try a little more tomorrow..but I'm not going to push it as I'm happy enough with how they came out.. gotta find me some D batteries ( horn is super clean) hopefully it'll work..
I'm really digging the basement setup,it feels more relaxed

We all have stepped in that "It's Done" trap when it comes to building a bike!
I did at the beginning of the week with this 39 Monark motorbike. Well, I forgot I had these cream/white Fat Franks, 26" x 2.235. Dare I say "Done" now!!!
