i'm stuck on "strolling" right now; thinking of English Rider Darren @dnc1 when he was Un-able to ride recently....
Ponder gifts; Privileges; Time; i'm truly grateful too!

@tripple3 Mark, many congratulations to you and your 'sweetie'.
I see you're already out enjoying your bike once more. Sometimes things come along to try us, but you'll be getting those mega miles in once more, I'm sure of that.
Don't rush it!

Congrats to Mr n Mrs @tripple3
100 miles give or take per week is the system in place ! Back in the saddle after a couple of decades. It all started last Thanksgiving and no plans of letting up.
Single speed mega mile rides on vintage bikes is the goal so hanging with you all !
You know what they say.. circle yourself with Eagles. This thread inspires me.

Keep up the good work @Sportyworthy

Epic 80 miles on the 'Cicli Vecchi' yesterday.
From Wallingford to the Cotswolds, and (almost) home.
Out riding with the Oxford section of the V-CC, heading for the hilly country to the West of the county.
I firstly rode the 4 miles to our starting point at the old milestone in Dorchester.....

An eventful ride, using the Campagnolo 'Cambio Corsa' gear system is always interesting.....

...practice is still needed, and it was even harder with the saddlebag fitted!

I broke the nose of the saddle leather 20 miles in, we repaired/bodged it together to get me through the day though.
Then, not one but two punctured tubular (singletube) tyres late on.
This screw in the second replacement.....

...eventually put paid to the ride in Dorchester on the return and FGT thankfully gave me a ride home in his van.

All good fun!

Rode two green bikes today, a ‘30’s Roamer moto bike around neighborhood to test out some changes I’ve made recently.

I’m thinking of building a klunker tandem . Last summer my wife wanted to ride at least 4-5 days a week , so if I’m gonna ride vintage much this summer need to build a vintage tandem or a klunker for her. ( we ride almost completely on gravel). 20 mi on tandem today

Test rode some Dirt Jumpers on Friday, another on Saturday. Then scored a great deal on a '21 Commencal Absolut after short ride. This bike was the first that I was attracted to when researching. Loved a couple I tried the other day & really wanted the Cannondale Dave. A few minor scratches on a basically new bike with new Maxxis Ikon dirt tires & original Schwalbe Billy Bonkers, front brake, hardware & reflectors. Enamored!! 🥳🤣🤩🥰🤓
