Is this a monark?

Co worker found this in a Barn today and is bringing it to me tomorrow. It's got a Zenith Marshell Wells badge and a monark Style chain ring. I'm trying to figure out a approximate year and who made it. Thanks

Zenith prewar , made for Marshall Wells Hardware Stores . 1935 - 65 I'm sure someone here knows more .

Looks like circa 1947/48 with the forward facing rear fork ends, without any extra appendages for fastening a rear rack luggage carrier.
The usual serial numbers (date-place codes) stamping may narrow-down the year.

It should have a reverse year & factory code on the BB.
