In the day I was a very large guy and considered myself indestructible- I really abused this Trek. Frame never broke. Now, it's an old man's bike with street tires.
it won't be a true old man's bike until you add higher handlebars, a shorter stem and a rack on the back. mine has had slicks on it for at least 10 years

The early 90's Trek carbon bikes were really good race bikes . Even though they weren't the 1st carbon frames they were close and early enough to be considered one of the pioneers of the carbon race frames. Cool bike mate, thanks for sharing as I always liked those.
 
Kestrel designed by Brent Trimble. The MXZ was 88-89’. Trek Y frame from 95’ is considered ground breaking for its design.
