What bike did you work on today?

-
I didn’t get to work on anything today because I was busy MOVING THE LAST KID OUT OF THE HOUSE!!!

BWAAA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAA!

There is so much extra room in the garage now!

I’m currently resting my back and enjoying a nice beer whist dreaming of what I’ll do with said space.

Fashioned a Faux-Tank out of Aspen for my Shelby.

I did a makeover on my '21 Commencal Absolut to tailor it for pump track use. It came equipped with 26"x2.35" Maxxis Ikon tires. Great cross country knobby tire. It also came with the original Schwalbe Billy Bonkers 26"x2.1" tires. I want a fast, light tire that spins up quick with good grip. As some of you know, I like the tires on my bikes to be black. The blacker the better. There is a primal distaste, rooted deep in my DNA for gumwall tires especially. 🤢🤢🤮 Since the Maxxis DTH folding 26"x2.3" blackwall tires won't be available for at least a month I am forced to abandon my comfort zone & got the skinwall tires. (Excuse me. Just threw up in my mouth a little bit.🤦‍♂️)
Since I prefer limes, I am going to try to make limeade out of lemons. In an attempt to evolve & rid myself of silly hangups I'm diving in head first by going with it by adding skinwall pedals from Burgtec and grips from Evil.

With the wheels off for tire change, I polished the frame since it had some cable rub & couple of scuffs before a coat of wax on everything painted. Since the bike has low mileage it needed spokes on the back wheel re-tensioned. Brake needed some fine tuning & bar adjusted. Now it's ready to hit the track!!🤓

Had the "PRIVILIGE" of utilizing some fancy tools @Planet911 here in Edmond OKC this past week, whereas, I was treated to a couple of 911 rides unexpectedly. White 911 had 650hp...we launched with the rev limiter bang'n...redlined 3 gears then hard on brakes...RAD! My vision entered the twilight zone for a micRo second with so much forward AWD traction. Holy poop...Grave Digger Scary Fast! Black 911 just sold for $175,000

Afterwards I dropped My KR Flat Tracker off to OKC Chop Shop for metal fab of rear seat cowl mounts.

It is soo frustrating being a Chase Sexton 23 fan...Brapp!!!

Just another ND model D rebuild. And complete teardown of the rear rim assembly for the '40 Colson snaptank. Little steps toward a much needed service. The front rim assembly was done yesterday.

I’ve been goofing with this Hiawatha lately. It’s just a 60s era department store bike and it’s worth nothing. I pulled it from a scrap pile here in Texas where it had sat since the 70s. I wound up buying a similar girls bike as a parts donor and I should have it riding for maybe 50 bucks total. A fools way to spend money for sure but I’m not about the money. It’s about the process and the satisfaction for me.
