Guesstimate on value???

I bought this bike when I was visiting my Mom. I just wanted something old and cool to cruise around on and to get a little exercise. Now that I have it home there is a local guy that wants it. I like it a lot but I’m not a bike collector and in reality I can ride around any old bike. This guy wants me to give him a price and I have no idea if it’s a $100 bike or a $300 bike or what it might be worth. I want to be fair but I’d hate to find out later that I gave it away. I was told here on the CABE that it’s a 1938 Shelby. I know it’s only worth what someone wants to pay but I’d appreciate it if someone could give me an idea of a starting point. One picture with the old wore out tires and one with the Wally World white walls.

The tank has no dents and only light surface rust and light pitting. No rust through or even thin metal. The inside still has shiny original black paint.
