I just realize that your Symplex is about the same condition I got mine.
Man, it’s hard to find stuff for this thing, and when you do find it’s expensive as hell.
I guess everything’s expensive as hell right now though.
I’m trying to learn how to powder coat right now so I can do mine up in powder.
I’ve got a 6 foot oven so I’ve got that part covered.
Call Wayne he has all the parts and he restores them also.

I'd like to find out the year of my spare motor, any thoughts?

Also, I think my bike is from 1946, at least that's what the title says.

I'll have to check it out. I do have a spare rear wheel as well. Thanks again!

I didn't like the group myself.. I got a lot of negativity from posting my h as military.. I'm sure they prefer others who don't announce having one.. so I'm probably an anomaly on there..

Thank you Mike.
Appreciate your help.
My Simplex #1 build. 6 hp nda engine. i went just close to 50 mph recently on it. Always learning. Do not use a 1/2" shaft. It exploded on me on my recent fastest run of around 50 mph. I upgraded everything to 3/4". I'm using 3/4" keyed pillow bearings mounted the the vertical frame flat stock. Rock solid riding now. Using the worksman drum brake up front. i'm cruising over in the farmlands on nice blacktop and hardly any traffic, so my braking control is good for the riding environment over there.

Hi Mike.
I just ordered a rear rack from Wayne. Hope to see it soon.
BTW thx for posting his info., I need a lot more stuff from him.
Could you tell me what the dimensions of the rims are for these, width and diameter?
Thx
I'm using heavy duty 26" wheels with either 11 or 12 gauge spokes. Worksman wheels have been the best for me and heavy duty wheelmaster wheels. Tire size between 26x2.25 - 26x.2.35 I think Simplex #1 has Duro tires on it. Works real nice and smooth. I ride mine on blacktop in a farm area.
