Cruisin' on my Bluebird
What's the easiest way to remove black powder coat from a chrome little stingray front fender, I think it's from a krate. Did any of them come factory powder coated over chrome or did someone have it coated? It's easy to get paint off but not this. It's in the box by the horn upper left in pic.

If your goal is to remove the powder coating it can be done with a propane torch. Just run the torch over it and it will bubble up. Then remove with a steel wool or a Scotch Bright pad. You do not need to get the metal very hot, just enough heat to pop the coating. The powder coat melts at something low like 400 degrees.
