1972. We built a front suspension for my brother's 24" soon to be BMX bike; it was modeled after the DKW motorcycles. You can see my brother in the photo in Spring 1972 and how well he survived the crash caused by a failure in our front end design. We fixed it and he was back on it after his arm healed.
