On Training Wheels
Thanks for adding me to the group! I picked this up at a yard sale yesterday. I’m guesstimating it’s about a 1940 year model. It is nearly all original, except the grips and front tire! Any help accurately dating this bike is appreciated. Also, I would like to find the center stand, a matching Wards Riverside tire, and proper grips. Contact me if you’re holding

Very nice bike. Should have a rear stand, the clip is still there. Perhaps that is what you meant when you said center stand. I may have a tire, I will look and let you know.

UPDATE: I cannot locate the tire so must have sold it - sorry.

"EH" means it was built by the Indiana factory. They switched to the reverse year coding during 1940, and continued through 1958. It's a rare sight to find a Riverside tire that's still rideable! Matching your dry cracked one shouldn't be as difficult.
