Finally riding a big boys bike
I’ve used this old bike stand since the 70’s.
Haven’t ever seen another one like it. Of course, I don’t get around that much.
I love it - it’s super heavy duty and works smoothy.
Just curious if anyone has any information about it.

stand appears it may be an early edition of the Desimone's

it is a product manufactured by a retail cycle shop which was located in downtown San Jose, California

the stand predates the Park by a number of years

at that era most shops in the western U.S. employed either an ELDI or a Desimone's

funny anecdote -

in 1977 visited a closing sale of a retail shop located in one of the eastern suburbs of Sacramento, California

was speaking with a lady who was one of the shop owners
she pointed to the stand and said "Yes, it is made in Iowa, see where it says Des Moines."

the building which had housed Desimone's for many decades got demolished many years ago now for "urban renewal" - i.e. gentrification

enjoy your stand
