1952 Schwinn Wasp Ballooner 26 X 2.125 S-2's Orig

Bought this when I lived in Maine almost 20 years ago. Good original condition. Would benefit from a good clean up. Tires are likely not rideable. As it sits, $450 Shipped, Lower 48 OBO. Paypal or Postal MO. Was told it is a 1954 not 52 as in title.

The Wasp was first offered for the 1954 model year along with the new Opal colors. Second, Schwinn duplicated serial numbers during these years so your serial number log date also shows up on 5/28/1957.........and on 12/01 to 12/17/1953 ------- D00001 ------------------ D20266..... So an Opal Green Wasp with that serial number (D07605) would be either a 1957 model or a 1954 model with that late December 53 serial number. Schwinn started production of the next years models in mid November so I'm betting that's a 54 model with the 1" pitch sweetheart.
