Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
I friend of mine has this frame and was told it was a 1938 Schwinn...lol. I'm about 99.9% sure it's not. Please give us a hand in identifying this frame.

Not a Schwinn...Emblem/ Pierce? Fish mouth connectors on tube mounts... similar rear drop outs on down tubes behind the seat, 26 or 28 inch? Could be either. Weird Serial Number though... ------Cowboy---- Like the SUPERMAN colors...Should Fly when it gets wheels...

I think it might be a Schwinn. Smaller boys sized frame.
Might have taken narrow 26" wheels high pressure single tube tires.
Serial number suggests 1917 to me, when Schwinn reached 1,000,000
and had to restart the serial numbers.
Notice head tube lug joints. Davis had lugs like those, but I don't believe they were tapered.

Notice size of seat compared to frame and wheels.
