On Training Wheels
I found some pics in my grandmother’s photo album today. They are dated 1942. It’s my grandparents, their friend, and my dad on a bike. From what I have found it looks to be a Colson Flyer. If you know different, please let me know.

He could be getting a wedgie, sitting on that rack. May be an involuntary reaction.
 
I've had many bikes with bent racks, probably from riding the fat kid around on the back and jumping off curbs.

I wonder if Colson designers thought about that when making the "pre-bent" rack.
 
Maybe a Flying Ace? Bike has no curved fender braces.

Headbadge in photo doesn't appear to conform to either of the two styles of Flyer headbadges in the attached sampling. Could even have a badge from a local store, who knows?
