  It does have the Torpedo shifter and cables. Also the Tubular S7 markings are stamped in the center of the rim.

  Yes, it is laced to a S7 rim. I did read somewhere online that Schwinn was having some problems with SA hubs that year. Waiting to see if anyone else knows anything about this.

  Correct. Thanks. Im not gonna use it as a mountain bike. I checked the rest of the frame and it looks good. This is the only 1 inch split/crack I found.

Hi, I’m super excited I found this place online. I’m brand new here. Please forgive my ignorance as I’m learning. I found this bike. I think it is a Shelby, but no idea about model or year, what’s original and what’s not. Any help will be appreciated
