This is on a Power King 3 speed. Made in Japan. Not sure which manufacturer, but from what my research has found, Power King was a house brand for the EJ Korvettes department store. I bought it mainly because it has the Shimano 333 stick shift on the top bar.- HerrOtto

Raleigh Sports bottom bracket swap?
I measured the original cotter pins and they were 9mm on the Sports and 9.5mm on the Rampar. The 9mm are a little loose in the Sports crank arms while the 9.5mm will also fit in the Sports but tighter.- HerrOtto

Coaster brake noise
Yes it is a Falcon brake on a Huffy Santa Fe Cruiser bike. It probably would not be considered a Vintage bike. I was told the Falcon brake is a copy of a Bendix style. Since none of you have seen a serrated inside of the hub shell, I will try sanding it smooth and hope for the best.- HerrOtto

SirMike, I believe it is the galvanic corrosion, as I really soaked it a lot with penetrating oil before twisting, hitting the seat platform out of the post. The post is 8" long inside the seat tube.- HerrOtto

Coaster brake noise
Can anyone tell me if the inside of a hub shell on a coaster brake bike is supposed to be smooth or serrated? I am working on a bike with a Falcon coaster brake. Univega Activa Trail, age ?
Hello, can anyone tell me what year this Univega Activa Trail is? It has all Shimano components. Shimano Atlus C10 derailleurs and crack set, and Shimano C15 shifters, shimano cantilever brakes. Araya alloy 700c quick release rims. 21 speed. Thank you- HerrOtto

I tried the old stem trick and it did not work. I actually think the tighter I would make the stem bolt, It forces the wedge tighter in the post, but also pushes the post out into the tube.- HerrOtto

SirMike, I believe it is the galvanic corrosion, as I really soaked it a lot with penetrating oil before twisting, hitting the seat platform out of the post. The post is 8" long inside the seat tube.- HerrOtto

I have used PB blaster from the top of the post, then turned the bike upside down, and sprayed through one of the water bottle boss to hopefully get the post from the bottom. So far that has not helped, at least with the extractor. Now I am sort of stuck with only the 1/8" of post sticking above...- HerrOtto

Fortunately/Unfortunately the bike is in great shape including the paint. I do not want to ruin the paint, so at this time I do not feel comfortable cutting the frame, although I am sure that would work.- HerrOtto

While the pipe nipple extractor is an awesome tool, it did not remove the stuck seat post. It was starting to deform the seat post and I was afraid it would in turn deform the seat tube.
