Took the 38 rollfast to Longmont Cinco de Mayo festival. Lots of cool cars and bikes. Then went to the lake and back. Picked up this camaro split bumper piece. Nice day.
Took my 38 rollfast to avery brewing in gunbarrel and back. There was a poppin’ doggie birthday party for pancake the pitbull, but the mastiff was the coolest sweetest dog of them all.
1937 Dayton. To the creek trail…..got a decent sandstone brick collection going. Then past the airport to Hygiene. Got closer to home and an older guy had a crash on his electric scooter. Don’t ride these things. Ride a bike. But if you have to….WEAR A HELMET! There were a couple bumps and...
Got the 38 rollfast back and went for a 22 mile round trip ride to avery brewing. After riding a rough part of trail my dropstand fell off. Bungee cords may not look great but they are handy. I got a bigger apartment with space for more bikes and my Dayton is happy to have company again. Take...
Took a ride out to Sandstone Ranch today on the 37 Dayton. The geese were a-honkin' today. No red-winged blackbirds seen, but perhaps a few sparrows. My buddy Eric helped me straighten the kickstand so it sits more upright. Nothing like a cold bend in the winter.
It's been too dang long since I got out for a nice long ride. 37 Dayton Huffman. From my new apartment, to a peaceful spot, and back. My apartment complex was built in 1902 as a house for William H Dickens, son of Charles Dickens. It is believed by many that William was shot and killed by his...
Hooray! Congrats. If you look hard enough the ones you want will find their way to you. Clearly this bike was destined for your collection. Glad to see it found you.
Love this. "before there was mountain biking, there were just mountains and bikes." I did a little mountain biking myself on Tuesday. Suprised the bike held up as well as it did.
Nice long ride with the kiddo today. She said her legs were tired. Good. We both need it. At one point she said "dad, I'm bored". To which I replied "I'm not. I'm enjoying a beautiful day riding bicycles with great scenery and listening to music with my favorite little girl." almost worth...
It's great to see all the same guys are out riding their old bikes consistently. After getting back on a bicycle vs. A motorcycle lately I can sure appreciate slowing down a bit, getting some exercise, and seeing some friendly faces out and about. Nice ride to the lake and the airport today on...
38 rollfast.Rode to the spot.... Then to a lake or 2..... Then to a waterfall. Lots of birds and walkers and bikes out today enjoying the beautiful weather. Have fun ya'll!
Kickstand and locking fork and sliding rail saddle too? Oh man that might have just been worth it.oh never mind... That's your boys bike :) still a nice lady with a dropstand.
What a great shot of Jersey John! Like many of the other guys he looks wiped out and happy as can be. Thanks for sharing he pics of this tremendous day!!
@Iverider that 35 Dayton is pretty special. Good to see the frame and fork reunited. Here is the only bike I added in 2021. A 1936 Huffman....... Found the correct fork on ebay. It rides great!
Of course you should check out your kids bike to ensure safe operation. It gets easier as they get older and their bikes get bigger because testing it out isn't as difficult.
LOL. How dare you call that a factory schwinn (says the guy who admittedly knows next to nothing about what is factory correct on a schwinn). Yeah, and Charlie got molested.
Wondering what this red and blue one is? And this crusty one is cool...wouldn't mind having one of these postwar Murray bikes. Too bad there's no crusty tank to go with it.
OMG I knew I was about to read 4 pages on how to use instant coffee and I did it anyway.... No participation trophy required. I think you may have asked the most credible question in the 4 pages of this thread regarding dying blo and tinting deeper using various methods. I imagine he is dousing...
Saw this bike at high county Harley Davidson today. Looked like original paint. I don't know if the wide white 28 inch tires were original/period correct but they sure looked good. Had an amazing Troxel saddle. The blue Panhead was cool, but the 48 knucklehead was awesome! I was surprised that...
Took the kiddo down the road to cruise Lyons Colorado. She's a new fan of the Zen garden's labyrinth. :-). They have a new and great looking skatepark I'll have to come back to ride some time. And she was thrilled when we finally arrived at her favorite "zip line" park.
