Forgot to mention fork tubes are 3/4" x 120 wall. If making straight tubes you can use 065 walled tubing. You also need to use seamless tubing because seamed tubing splits when you press the ends. You need a 100 ton press to press the 120 walled tubing..... Yes 100 ton! LOL
Hey Chuck,
I can do a few things for you. I can send you the plate info with the plate size and hole sizes off sets ect. The fork tube are bent to 60 degrees on a 7 inch center line radius. (7" CLR) I had a special die made for this. You can also use straight tubes to make a cool chopper fork. I...
Good thing the guy who worked at the dump knew enough to save them. He didnt know their value though. He had them posted for $100 Dollars for both. He was surprised when I paid the 100 and didnt bargain. Everyone was happy with the deal
I found these 2 bikes on Facebook last night. They were saved from the dump by the person I got them from. I am not sure of the 60's tank bike. I was thinking of the Jet bikes but couldn't find a matching pic. If you could put a name to these that would be appreciated.
I found the same...
Here is a 1952 Schwinn Phamton locking Springer fork with bearings and locking cups. It comes with 2 new brass keys from Wes Pinchot. Has the fender tab and bolt. $240 Shipped lower 48.
Here is a set of pedals off a 1952 Schwinn Phamton. Dirty, greasy, rusty. The pedals spin fairly easy but will need cleaning. $60 Dollars Shipped lower 48. PayPal F/F
Thanks Rob. Looking at the bike this morning with better light it looks to be repainted. You can see on the guard where they covered the writing. Bummer but still happy. First muscle bike I have seen with 36 spoke front wheel. The seat is soft and no rips. That was worth the 200 spent on it.
I just picked up this Rollfast built Firestone GTO Flame bike. It looks to be all original down to the tires. It has 36 spoke wheels front and back. Persons seat is in really nice shape. It's hard to make out the serial number as it was a weak stamping. The first 2 digits are 55. I am guessing...
I have a Ross Apollo seat. I can take pics of it in the morning and post them. Here are the pics. The paper bottom is shot. The rear reflector is cracked and some tears to the seat there. How is $70 Shipped lower 48
That is my Ebay auction for the forks. I have a few sets left. I also have a set in cold rolled steel like the originals. They would need to be polished and chrome plated. That would be as close to NOS as you could get. I also have the decal.
The left rear drop out has the serial number. The paint has probably filled in the letters and numbers. You will have to wire wheel the drop out to find the serial number. If your trying to save the red paint just clean the green paint off and you will probably see the numbers. I believe I had a...
I turned this 71 Typhoon into a Typig bike. I changed the seat, sissy bar, handlebars and rear slik. Since it is a short frame I built it as a Stingray Jr with a 15 inch seat and short handlebars.
Hey Guys,
I am still around and alive. I have put bicycles on the back burner for a few years now. I have the plates and tubes for the forks. I need to find a good tig welder to help me. The metal still needs mirror polish before welding. I will try to get them made before the end of summer. If...
That is a Huffy Slingshot Twin Stick. That is the most wanted Huffy Rail bike besides the mag wheel version. It needs correct handlebars pedals seat sissy bar. A twin stick shifter sold for over 500 dollars in the last 6 months.
Sorry to say these are not Pretzel handlebars and they are Not Sears Screamer handlebars. They are from a Sears Spyder bike. Still very cool handelbars and a good price.
The shifter has a drag brake on it. The brake cable runs from the handlebars through the shifter to the brake caliper on the rear. It is a special cable that has a piece that goes on the shifter. When you pull the drag brake shifter it pulls the brake cable. It is a 69 model year. Great Score on it.
The axle mount sissy bars were after market I believe. The hole in the top was probably for a Ray Cooper Topper to mount. Both are great for any muscle bike.
This is my bike. I would take 150 dollars for it if you come pick it up. I also have a Schwinn Speedster 3 speed I won here in a raffle. Great bike I just dont use it. Might make it worth the trip. 500 on the Speedster or 600 dollars for both.
