Ah, didn't realize the Sting Ray forks were middleweights. Mine has theexact same dimensions as given for the green fork. So, looks like a '74 Sting Ray fork for S7 rims with the wrong non-caliper brake chrome cap?

Got the date down, but I'm not sure if it is a Stingray (20") or Fastback (20 x 1 3/8") fork. I'm leaning toward 1 3/8". I don't have the right wheels to check, but it's 12" from axle center to the top of the crown. I tried searching for the fork length specs/differences but no luck. Steerer...

Thanks for the links. Maybe some Columbia folks may know about when they stopped using chrome parts. I guess it depends on the models and as you suggest, some bikes may have a mix of chrome/black-out as the chrome parts ran out. This bike has all chrome parts but yes, ivory enameled rims. Hmm..

Thanks for all of the info. Mine is definitely a 1947 with later front train light addition. I like it more this way with the train light. All original is always best, but I'm pretty happy with this result.

1989 Schwinn Cimarron Country of Manufacture?

Just completely refurbished a black 1989 Schwinn Cimarron mountain bike and am not sure if the bike was made in Greenville, MS, Japan, or by Giant in Taiwan. The bike is in great condition and has no decal (or evidence of one) indicating country of manufacture. Any info would be appreciated.
