Amazing when you post a nice part for bargain basement price... you have anxiety taking the cash from a stranger face to face.
Facebook is full of strangers, no?
October 29 Morphy auction has some pretty nice prewar bikes....
That Ranger is back on there as well.

Washed the rims a bit to find they're Clement Albione. Seems they're Era correct although probably not original to the bike.
Front stamped...rear has remnant of oval label.
Reference picture for decal remnant shown above:
Looks like Sugino is stamped on bottom bracket cup so assembly was replaced.
Guy I bought it from said he last rode it in the 80s so the bottom bracket and cranks were replaced prior to that.
Couldn't help myself and went to grab this off FB marketplace. Just thought it was cool enough to justify the asking price.
Should be a fair winter project.
8 speed with fairly nice paint and pins. Will pop after a complete teardown.
Gnutti front hub. Rear hub has "Alfa" in script.
Pivo...
Probably a scam but seller does have over 800 feedbacks.

First rule of FB Marketplace.... If you can't physically see it ...no deal.
2nd rule... meet at local Police station to conduct business.
3rd rule ... Always have a wingman
Did you file detailed police report with description of trailer and contents when everything was stolen?
No insurance on trailer?
Usually need police report for a claim.
If you have documentation and a filed report, the authorities should be made aware.
Of course nowadays stealing is legal...
I like counterfeits almost as much as I like reissued parts.
The Reissue Phantom wrecked the original market.
Mongoose just reissued motomags so now a bunch of frames show up with repops on sales sites.
Wouldn't want to get scammed so really have to see it up close before I'm willing to buy...
I didn't get a vendor space this year since I don't have enough to fill one.
I plan on going to the show and can bring these bikes if there's interest.
PM for details.
1954 Schwinn Ballooner Jaguar 3 speed
1953 AMF Roadmaster Luxury Liner
1946 Schwinn B6
1960 Schwinn Continental
Hearts in Atlantis also had a Black Phantom.
I think it was probably a new repop since that movie came out in 2001 and it was a NOS prop used in a store.
I own original bikes.
Have a couple restored saddles to ride on.
Like to see some of the restored bicycles at the shows but never had a desire to own one.
It's a big tent hobby so have fun and do what you want.
As found. Will clean up to be almost like the 1940 catalog picture. Complete Excelsior badged bicycle with excellent original chrome. I bought it for the minty winged guard for my Ranger since some of the purists don't appreciate the Westfield guard that came with it. Oh well, probably not...
Picked this up last weekend.
Hub says 48. Has a Bxxxxx serial number. I'll get a picture or edit this later.
Complete bike ... paint is in rough shape.
On Facebook marketplace in Michigan looks like a 1951 although he listed it as a 1949. Only 2 pictures that are the same.
Over or under in his asking price?
