What is the gauge or diameter of a HD Whizzer spring vs a traditional fork spring.
I understand their are 2 types of springs, one with the threaded member inside and the later design that doesn't.
Air compressor and a blow nozzle., through the end hole, and don't forget to plug the hole in opposite grip..
For grips without holes in the end, place the blow nozzle tip tightly against the edge where the grip meets the handlebar.
Do this at various points around the grip

BMA / 6 is a late 1980's thing. Government certification which really meant nothing, as it allowed low end bikes to be " certified".

While convenient, the portable stand would be maxed out on anything over 40lbs, in my opinion.
This would become the most apparent when pedaling the bicycle , in the stand.
A sandbag across the legs may help.

Looks to be completes- its a bit buried in the warehouse and will try to get to tomorrow for photos.
It is a complete yellow band, tandem wheel - 105 gauge spokes and correct rim -might even have
a tire and tube original to wheel.

Actually, you have a first generation - actual first shipment of Centurion LeMans.
One of the first bicycles with a Centurion logo.
Long story short - this down tube decal on this bicycle- if you could look underneath,
would say Raleigh.
Check the spacing of the headbadge holes - they will...
Short piece on non-drive side.
The shell parts nest into the cups.
When you install the adjustable cup, the short section inserts
into the long section.
Simple and clean.

At one time it was explained that the UPS material handling system max out just short of adult size bike boxes.
It was a crapshoot for the boxes, and if the didn't make the gates, the box would be hand "handled". Horizontally, vertically,
inverted or some combination.
And then there are the...
There are two - one with a nut installed inside, designed to have a "bolt" on the outside. I believe this is the older type.
There is Type 2(?) without the internal nut, just a compression arrangement, and I have each.
The photos are from the original Schwinn dealer info and consumer packet on the introduction of reflectors as part of the bicycle set up.
This would be 1974 ish. Photos are top quality, pro images. I also have the lay up for the brochure.
My collection has crested 1000 titles of bicycle related books.
Not many " Best bike ride in..." either!
There are any number with history and evolution of type set ups.
Most are out of print, while some have been reprinted.

After a long pause, and exploring many options, the owner has decided to sell this
great example of a pre WW2 Schwinn Motorbike.
From the photos, you can see that this rare bicycle is in non-restored condition and has
been in the owners hands since 1975, when it was traded into owners bike shop...
Hard to find piece. This came from ML purchase and just surface in the warehouse again
Photo is of actual cover and there is some very light foxing.
