Been a busy several weeks and haven't posted some recent finds. Came across another Colson rear steer with Flyer badge. Will get this one riding again after some front fork work. Then grabbed a dropstand for it.
Then a 38' girls Colson came up with an interesting seat post.
Then...
Just got home from a four hour round trip ride picking up this Simplex Senior Sportsman mini bike. It runs and rides. Looks pretty original. Will take some pictures tomorrow in the daylight. Any information about these would be greatly appreciated.
Looking for two Zeppelin chaingaurds. One needs to have decent chrome with some peppering like the uncleaned fender in the picture. The other one can look like the chaingaurd in the picture with chrome loss and some dings. Thank you.
I am posting this in search of a few different bikes. Looking for bikes that are pretty complete and not to worried about a lot of patina. Of course some of these have recently been sold on facebook and the Cabe but I didn't have the cash. Here is a list of some and will always consider...
The scrapper I got it from is notorious in this area for being very difficult to deal with. I couldn't believe I was able to buy five bikes off him with no issues, three of them myself and a couple other cabers had tried to buy months before.
Selling this 41' boys Schwinn project. Seat and wheels are not included. Bike has been repainted. Non locking springer. 41' screw tank with some rot through on the left side. Springer bumper on the frame. Admiral badged. Asking 700 obo. Will ship at buyer's expense. Any questions or...
Selling this 41' girls Schwinn. House painted. Lobdell wheels. Non locking springer. Springer bumper on the frame. The World badged. No tank horn. Asking 200 obo. Will ship at buyer's expense. Any questions or need more pictures please ask.
My budget is big enough for one or two of the specific bikes I listed going by the prices of ones that have sold recently on the Cabe. Also depends on what pops up. Yes, the Firestone cruiser with brass strap badge. Not looking for major projects so as complete and original as possible. If a...
At first I thought I could adjust the spokes to straighten the wheels but pretty much every one is tightened down all the way. Looks like the spoke ends are bent and they need to be replaced.
I am looking for wheels or spokes for a Colson tricycle. The rear 14x1.75 wheels spokes are missing and pretty bad shape. Let me know what you have. Thank you.
Bumping this up in hopes of some more information or another one popping up. I did find this repainted 20" boys bike but think the only original parts are the frame, fork and wheels.
Picked up these two a few weekends ago. A 39'? Twin and a 36' single bar Shelby. The triple speed wheels on the Twin will go on another project, I have a pair of Elgin wheels with the finned rear and floating front hubs for it. Have a seat for it until I do something with the original.
Selling my 1955 Schwinn ballooner Jaguar three speed. Asking 450 obo. Will ship at buyer's expense. Missing chaingaurd and was repainted at some point. You can see the pinstriping underneath. Rear hub is stamped 55'. Any questions please feel free to ask. Not letting me post the chainring...
I wonder if this model is in a picture I found in an old book of the Pope Manufacturing exhibit at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair? Thanks to the Cabe picture zoom it does look like some of the bikes have very similar frames.
In search of a fender light for this 40/41 Monark I picked up last week. Someone was nice enough to send me pictures of the one I need. Lets see what you have. Thank you.
Picked up this Rocket badged Monark yesterday from the original owners son in law that said he won it from a theatre. Missing a couple things but pretty original.
That is a great project you have. Love the Manton & Smith bikes. I think if you find a rack you like you can just take the legs off and make a bracket to attach it to the fender. @scrubbinrims has a white one that would match the patina look you want. Can you post a closer picture of the wheel...
That is a great looking project, the advertising adds such a cool look. I do like the older style frames like that. Do you have any of the steering parts? Can't wait to see what you do with it.
I finally got the chaingaurds bought and fit to my bike. Just have to paint them. Have a pair...
Thank you guys, I had fun cleaning up the bike. Unfortunately I sold it to a fellow caber because he wanted it. Next time I saw it the red tires, pedals and original paperwork were gone and it was sold again to another caber. I saw pictures of it at the fall Memory Lane and it was now missing...
I picked up this Twin the other evening and looking for a little help on the year. I know the chaingaurd, grips, speedo and fenders are mot correct. Anyone have an idea what the fenders are from? The braces aren't flat, they have just a little curve to them and they don't rivet together where...
Picked up a few things over the last couple weeks. Checked my mail this morning and the New Departure model C brake arm was in there. Picked up this Simplex built 20" boys bike, such a cool fork and frame. Saw this Wheel Craft badged 16" hard tire bike on cl and ZE52414 was nice enough to...
Picked up this 20" Simplex built bike. Have a girls bike built by them, the only reason I knew what it was. Still haven't seen any others. This one was repainted, the seat, chaingaurd and pedals are wrong, not sure about the fenders but braces may be correct. I believe the wheels are...

Digging around and figured out what the tabs on the dropouts are for, early chain adjusters. So I am guessing the bike is pre 34/35? Did Colson stamp a serial anywhere on these bikes? Found this picture of a bike that was for sale here.
Looking for some information on this Colson Flyer? Can't find a serial number. Looks to be original paint with black box pinstriping. The rear wheel with ND Model C hub seems to be the original. It is missing the brake arm. Think the front was replaced after whatever broke the fork and bent...
Picked up this Hawthorne All American. Have a couple questions. What chainring and stem would be correct? Seen a few different ones in bikes. On the lookout for two speed parts, front fender in blue and a front spring for the seat. It has most of the right signal pedal. Any information is...
