Back in the day we called them taps. I remember being a kid and seeing all the cool tough guys with their doowop hair styles wearing them on their shoes. When they walked they clicked.
Look to be for the tanks. NOS. reflectors and retainer cups and clips, 3 total. Someone correct me if I am wrong. $90.00 shipped PAYPAL as Friends and Family
There are TONS OF REPROS, some are just fantasy pieces (never made) out there. If anyone has or comes across a motorcycle toy that you are curious about send me pic. Whether you want to buy it for yourself or buying it to sell to me I will let you know if repro or original. Again I am not a know...
Hi Mike, thank you. A few tell tale signs are, REPROS have a rough finish. Many people think that the older toys had a rough finish and REPROS were smoother because REPROS were made later in time and the technology was better. Just the opposite. Originals had ROUND HEAD RIVETS holding the toy...
Just got the chain guard back. Even though the bike doesn't have the Deluxe seat it is done as far as I am concerned. I am not a big fan of the Deluxe solo polo seats anyway. It is not 100% correct and does have it's share of bumps and bruises.
In a town near us here in N.C. at a Panera Bread on Sunday mornings many owners of Greyhounds and Whippets get together for breakfast. They bring their dogs and get together. They are beautiful and well behaved dogs. Glad to see the race tracks are shutting down. The poor dogs like horses are...
Great project but I gotta tell you, I love your work shop. I love the old siding on the walls and the wooden floor. I used to be in repair shops like that when I was a kid. I just seemed warmer and the smell was was welcoming.
I have been upgrading some stuff on it the past few weeks. A BIG THANK YOU to Joe @stingrayjoe for the Schwinn Westwind front tire, also to Brady @Clark58mx for some hardware and a nice set of grips. Not a perfect bike or 100% correct but oh well. It's a rider. Just waiting for my guard to come back
If you haven't already I would Google Tether car makers and pictures. There has to be quite a bit of info out there to be able to narrow down the maker. I am not a know it all on these. Sorry I wasn't much help, cool piece though.
Years back I had a number of Doolings and a few others. For some reason to me it just doesn't look like a Dooling. I doesn't seem to have the detail if my thoughts are correct. How long is the car.
Those 66-67 Chargers are so damn cool I still remember the 1st time I saw one in 1966. I was 12 years old. I stood there and just looked and looked and looked at it. Walking around the car. I didn't really know what I was looking at but I knew I liked it.
Ebay will be taking your payment for now on and depositing it directly into your bank account after they take their fee. No more Paypal through Ebay. AND if I understand correctly you may have up to a 4 day wait to access your funds. Don't think there will be any more selling on Ebay for me...

Very cool find, All in all it would clean up pretty good. Can't do much about the paint but what the hell, it's an original Opal. I would give it a good cleanup and see what you really have. Congrats.
