1966 Schwinn Sting-ray FASTBACK 5 SPEED Licensed 'street legal'. I bought this from a friend who got it from the original owner who he road the neighborhoods with. I believe this is all original except for the seat. As I understand it, the Violet color was much less common on boy's models...
Vintage 1986 Diamond Back Viper BMX all original padded survivor...
I inferred the year from some other searches, so please let me know if it's a different year. All and all, this bike looks to have seen minimal miles around the block or on the trails based on the gum of the tires and luster...
I'm offering to part this bike out in a new thread if I have at least half of the parts spoke for in this add:
https://thecabe.com/forum/threads/1947-d-p-harris-co-american-flyer-rollfast-hawthorne-skiptooth-drop-center-torrington.115947/
However, I'll still sell the bike complete if that...
I posted this add a while back for the bike my girlfriend didn't want. Anyways, I had some interest on a couple items, but I was hoping to have at least 3 items sold before I split it up. So, I'm trying to top post the add again, to see where thing might stand. Oh, and $225 takes the whole...
When I bought this bike from a friend of the original owner, I was told that it was a 1947. However, the pre-war frame, skip tooth sprocket, art deco Torrington stem and coke bottle grips suggest that it is older. So, maybe it was actually a 1937 and they missed a decade? All I can say is...
J.C. Higgins Truss Rods - $45
WW2 Blackout hubs laced in or to drop center rims previously mounted on a Monark - $75
Steel painted white Truss Rods to whatever they fit - $30 - SOLD
WW2 era previously mounted to Monark (possible Colson firestone match) 4 hole rear rack - $50
Chainguards - J.C...
Thank you for the heads up and so sorry for the inconvenience. I had updated my add about 12:45 AM Central time after a PM hit my mail alerting me to my misstep. Of coarse, I'm happy to re-post my edit/addition below:
"$555.55 plus shipping OBO
I will ship within the continental US or be...
I believe this to be a 1940 (or 1939, 1941) Colson Evans Firestone Flying Ace Looptail ribbed snap tank cruiser. This bike is pictured as it came to me. This has a rare / unique 3 sprocket setup on the New Departure coaster brake hub. I previously asked about this in the following link and...
Thanks again. Do you know what era the simplex 3 was sold and what derailors would have like been mated to it. I'm guessing a simplex. Also, were they intended for a certain brand, model or application. Thanks!
Thank you for your posts to date. I'm away from it for the time being, but I did have a better picture of the stirrups to share. You notice that it is not bolted through the stays, but bolted on each side of each stay. This extra care to detail in fabrication would have taken more time to make...
I set up an account a while back but believe this to be my first post. Well, I recently came across what I believe to be a 1940 Colson Firestone Flying Ace which has a strange 3 sprocket setup on the New Departure coaster brake hub. I mainly collect Schwinns and just recently came across this...
