Something I found..
Very Cool JD56!! When I was tearing apart my Orient, we came across a small receipt from a hardware store in the right side handle bar with the date of 1910 written on it. In the seat tube was a rolled up piece of newspaper which described the 1911 Oscoda fire in Oscoda, MI...
Perfect! Im not worried so much about the cable housing but more that the cable isnt rusted or frayed, especially neat the connector. How much?

Tried a Sturmey Archer today as it looks the part however the threading is a bit different and would not go on. So now I'm onto thinking about soldering an end of a shifter cable i have after fitting through the existing barrel adjuster.
Picked up this Vintage Lightweight J.C. Higgins from a fellow caber tonight. Figure it is perfect for getting up the street to the local dive bar!! It has a 3 speed Bendix Torpedo Coaster Hub and as you can see the hub isn't connected to the cable. I need the skinner of the two barrel adjusters...

Saw this on the local craigslist today and waiting to hear back from the seller. Kind of intrigues me though not so sure what I'm looking at. The head lugwork is very similar to Puegeot frames. Any thoughts?
A week ago this past Thursday, I took a good fall, however still have no idea if i was hit by a car or not. Only Witness to stop told the police officer that they only saw me cycling and looked in the rear view to see that i had fallen and was on the ground. I have no memory of it, though ended...
