Hello All,
I was wondering if anyone had a Klaxon or Klaxon style plunger horn for sale? If so let me know what you have. Did they ever re-pop these? A reproduction would be fine with me.
Thanks

Hello Muscle Bike people.
A friend of mine found this yesterday and we are wondering if anyone might know what this bike might have been? It is sticker badged Belknap Blue Grass and says Rollfast on the chain guard which may or may not be original to the bike. If some one can provide a model...
Not great pictures but......
This was a basket case Higgins I bought at a flea market. I know it is not original, I just used parts that I thought looked good on it. All rattle can paint with model car paint airbrushing. Paint job cost about 20.00
Are you doing skirts for the front also? At the very least you need the curved fender braces on the front. I think that they would flow really well. It looks awesome so far. I will follow this one with much interest.

Other than the simple question "what is the best you can do on this" I agree completely with this practice. I find slamming some ones items to be rude and unnecessary.

We had those also. I was starting to think I was the only one who remembered these. I find it strange that I can find no pictures of these fork extensions on a bike and none seem to be on any of the finds people are making. These were everywhere. I know a lot got pulled off when the BMX craze...
Now this I like. It takes me back to my childhood as well. I would like to see more posts like this. Members then and now with the same bike or same type of bike. Fantastic job on recreating a real gem.

To be honest almost all of the bikes offered up here are out of my price range, so you really can't go by me. But since you asked, I simply admire the bike or part and move on. It is none of my business what they ask for their stuff..

You always build awesome bikes and I like this one a lot. But I have to say that I am really digging that theater in the background. I have a thing for old theaters. Keep up the good work. It is always a pleasure to see what you will come up with next.

I am not really a collector or a purest so I have a little less lofty goals then some of the others here. Don't get me wrong most any of the bikes listed in this thread would be more then welcome in my home, but that aint likely. But for my top 3 whish list bikes I want to build they would be...
Hello,
A picture of it would go a long way. I do know that Sears sold some Huffy bikes badged as Sears around that time period (I had one myself). But there are a lot of people with much more knowledge than I have. If you can throw up a picture you will most likely have more information that...
Hello all,
I have a coworker that is in need of a chrome1972 Schwinn Collegiate front fender. Anyone have a decent one out there. He has also mentioned the reflectors for the same bike. Let me know.
JimK
The first thing that comes to my mind is that the bike is stolen or somehow shady. But if the seller is known and has a good rep most times it rules that out. I don't get it. I was always told that if you have to hide what you are doing, you are most likely doing something wrong.

I recall after market fork extensions that were sold every where (K-mart, Zodys, Ace Hardware etc.) They were chromed tubes about a foot long pinched at the end with a hole for the front wheel, and a hole for bolts to attach them to the forks at the axel slots. They looked really cool and we...
These are as cool as it gets. I wish I had something like that to play with. Though it goes against everything that I like to do (I love clean and shiny), I agree with the others and say I am glad that you are not painting it. It looks fine the way it is.
JimK
I say without a doubt sell the bike again. He blew his chance when he didn't keep his word or at least let you know what was up. As for the deposit, I say it is yours. But if you feel bad about keeping it set it aside in case he comes back. If he doesn't then it's yours guilt free.
JimK
My resolution is to complete the three projects that I have going before coming up with any more bright ideas.

Needs a rack built and a Klaxon horn
Almost ready for paint
still gathering parts
I have a little experience with this from the depositor side of things. I like most people tend to live pay check to pay check, with little disposable income. So bigger (to me) ticket items are hard for me to purchase out right sometimes. I have dealt with several board members here and other...
