SOLD!I will post pictures later but there is one here from when I got the bicycle. I believe it to be all original but not sure of the tires, you be the judge. I'm looking to get $1200 plus shipping for this. Here is the original post but I will be taking more detailed pictures.
Thanks,
Belle...
I am looking for one of these brackets and hopefully someone has one. I have the fork already, I just need the bracket that holds the truss rods.
Thanks!
I've received some very nice pictures for my gallery on pedalingpast.com but I have room for many many more! Send me your pics of your original or restored girls bicycles with a brief description and I'll post them in the gallery. I also plan on featuring one bicycle each month on a separate...
I have this set of Firestone Speed Cushion tires I believe to be NOS though they are a bit dirty. You can look at the pictures and make your own call. They do not have any cracking that I can see. I would like to get $60.00 shipped for the pair.
A question of value, help from the Schwinn people please!
These grips appear to be old and original. They are very thick and one says Goodrich and the other says Schwinn. I would like to sell them but have no idea of their value. Any opinions welcome.
I bought this several weeks ago and picked it up yesterday. She hasn't been cleaned but is in remarkably good condition overall. I'm hoping someone can give me an idea of the year.
Nice set of Schwinn rims! SOLD!
Not sure of the year but this a pretty nice set of Schwinn painted rims. Asking $150.00 plus shipping.
These have been sold!
I have this nice set of Schwinn rims but have no idea about what bicycles they go on or the overall value. Can someone please give me some info?
Thanks!
Tutorial on Delta light repair? Success!!
Does anyone know how to repair a delta front load light? My light is in great condition but I cannot get it to work. The bulb does work as it lit when I tested it with batteries and a wire. Any tips would be appreciated!
Thanks!
"Zep" Headlight and horn pair- Delta Price drop!
I don't know if these were restored or not and I haven't tested them but they are clean inside and I see no reason why they wouldn't work. Missing one part of the bracket but I don't think that would be too hard to find. Switch and button work...
For sale- Airliner headlight? SOLD
I believe this is called an Airliner Light. Untested and I do have the plastic lens but it is broken. SOLD
$80.00 shipped
Need a set of dogleg cranks 7" (not Schwinn). I need these to be in good to excellent condition. Will take fair condition as long as they aren't pitted.
Thanks!
Has anyone ever used Quality Chrome Plating in Sterling Ill.? Their prices seem reasonable.

I need this exact sprocket. Please note that it has 6 openings as opposed to the Wald 4 opening and the other Hawthorne type with 8 openings. I need this one specifically so hopefully someone has one. Also if the cranks and pedals are available that would be even better!
Thanks!
I got these and a few other small parts on an Ebay BIN and was wondering if anyone could tell me if the reflector is authentic and is the bracket the type needed for the hammered Elgin reflector?
Calling all Elgin experts out there. I've seen the triple step rims used on Elgin Twins but also read they were for earlier bicycles. My question is what years were they used on Elgin bicycles and on what models? Is there more than one type of triple step?
Thanks!
I have finally finished cleaning and putting my sweet little Elgin all back together. I replaced her incorrect painted rims with the chrome triple steps and put on a pair of nice Allstate tires.
I've only minimally cleaned up this nice boy and will polish the chrome parts a little more. I love the way he looks..not too perfect but still nice and shiny. I'm not sure if the bottom of the batwing light has been replaced at some point but the rest of the bicycle does looks original to me...
I believe this is a Delta Airliner light made for Wards but I'd love to hear the opinions of other Cabers. I'd also like to know what the value might be of this.
Thanks!
Up for sale is this luxury liner headlight. Not sure if it's a repro or not but please note that it has been modified to accept 2 AA batteries and the switch has been modified as well. Perhaps someone could un-modify it if they so choose.
I'm asking $75.00 plus shipping for this one. Sold!
I...
I picked up this nice boy this weekend and it appears to be all original except I'm not too sure about the seat. I have seen another model like this with the same seat but maybe a Higgins expert can help me with my question.
Thanks!
I decided to start a group for collectors who love and value girls bikes and would like to see them stay together. Lately there have been so many nice originals parted and discarded that it has prompted me to take some sort of action. My hope is to create a network of people who will send out...
I just bought a lovely girls Elgin that came equipped with a very nice set of painted rims with and air cooled hub and Stewart Warner floating hub on the front. They are not correct for my girl and I am looking for a very nice set of match chrome rims to trade. I am putting the value of my set...
I just got this lovely girl from ebay and while cleaning her up I realized that she has white painted rims with blue stripes which doesn't make sense since she is ivory and brown. Not to mention that she came with a stewart warner floating hub which I believe is later than the bike. If it turns...
I'm sure most of you saw the lovely cream and brown girls Elgin on ebay with the Robin style rear rack and the Floating Hub. I was delighted to have won her and was VERY specific with the seller that he was to package her VERY carefully. I stressed this multiple times and he assured me he would...
Here is a girls Elgin tank. It does not take a horn...I believe they call this a dummy tank. There is surface rust but the inside still has the original paint I believe.
I'd like $40 plus shipping for this.
This is a CWC stem I took off a prewar Roadmaster.
$25.00 Plus shipping
I am selling a few parts that I no longer need for projects that never materialized.
Elgin? under the fork peaked fenders. These are nice and straight with little rust. not sure what bike they belong on but they are similar to my Elgin peaked fenders except they mount under the fork. Not sure...
I would go for her myself but I am completely maxed out on bicycles for a good long while! So I hope that either one of my fellow female collectors will get this pretty girl or one of the guys that appreciates nice originals girls bikes!
Here she is...
I won an ebay auction (I know I know) and the seller did state he would ship. I'm just a tidge nervous that he will not have the expertise to properly dismantle and pack this lovely girl. Hopefully he will and I won't need anyone to pick her up but I like having a backup plan just in case.
I know some of you out there like to save old tubes so I'll be happy to give these two away for free...you just pay shipping. They do not hold air for long but perhaps they can be patched?
This is seriously the worst seller I've seen to date and I know we've posted about him before. It just sickens me to see the greed and laziness and the constant destruction of nice girls bikes.
I think it's time to rally the women of the CABE and the men who like girls bikes to start buying...
I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this bicycle. What year it was made? How many were made? Who owns it now? Were there horns in the tank instead of lights?
This is the only picture I have ever seen of this bike and I found it on Bicycle Bill's site.
This is my first and only Columbia and she came from ebay. With MrColumbia's help in detailing and packing & shipping, she arrived safe and sound and I think she's just beautiful!
She will be getting a dropstand put on her and her US Royal Chain tires are in absolutely stellar condition though...
I'm having a blast snatching up these girls for very little money! This one has really nice paint on her body though the front fender is a little more worse for wear. Her chrome is near excellent as is her seat and rims. The tires may or may not stay depending if they regain their shape with new...
I need five of them but will settle for whatever someone has. I'm not sure if they come in different sizes but I need bolts that will fit dropstands with no ears for 26" bicycles.
I thought this bike was beautiful and fully expected it to go for a lot more money. Am I missing something as to why it didn't? Congrats to the winner if he/she is a member of the CABE and hopefully it will stay together...
I'm asking $150.00 plus shipping for this hub. It is in exactly the same condition as I bought it. There is wear (patina) and I think it may be missing the correct nut for the oil filler. There is a bend in one of the outer plates as you can see in the photos which I believe can be easily...
I saw this girl on Ebay and of course fell in love. I wanted to make an offer but asked for more pictures from the seller. I did explain that his price was too high and I explained why. I wasn't rude about it (at least I don't think so). Much to my shock the seller blocked me without bothering...
Ok I got my girls paint pretty much as clean as it will get without removing it. I was wondering if the rims are original/correct and why the rear hub is a blackout hub and the front isn't? I cannot find any id on the front hub at all and would like to hear opinions on correctness/originality...
My new Rollfast girls bike came with a matched set of very nice 26" x 2.125 Fisk Victor tires. I have never heard of this brand before and was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about them.
