Ahh, I see. That Ranger of yours, does it have seat stays that are identical to the rest of your CCM`s? Especially around the bridge area? Or are they not as straight...more rounded? I can`t tell from the photos...

The serial numbers are always on the seat tube up to the 50`s. What makes you think there were CCM`s made in England?

Where is that serial number located? On the seat tube or the dropout?

Is that all you can read? Or is that all that is stamped on it? A photo would make identification much easier. Hercules hubs were the primary hub for CCM made bikes in the 20`s, and they made a armless coaster during that period...

Is the rear hub a Hercules? If so, it`s probably original...

Saddle height really depends on what you`re going to do with the bike. If your going to really ride it, I mean more than a cruise around the block, then the saddle should be fairly high, if you can just touch with the tip of your toe, you`re probably not far off. Your hips shouldn`t rock when...

Really some excellent information there Phil, Thanks. I didn`t know that Westfield made bikes for Mead. After a little more looking at photos, I`m starting to think it is a Mead, but maybe a Ranger, rather than a Crusader... Really appreciate the help, Cheers!

Hey Rider, yeah I`ve seen those before, That`s a CCM Ranger. Actually pretty different to the frame in question tho`... My top tubes aren`t parallel like those. I used to have a CCM Motobike that was really similar to yours...
