For discontinued Craftsman Model #917.370730. Mower deck needed for rear drive, self propelled 21" mower with 6 engine mounting holes as shown in illustration. Transmission and rear wheels preferable, but not necessary. I know finding one is a long shot, and one in good condition is a longer...
Correct and complete prewar patina Colson stem. Flaking chrome on top portion. Chunk out of bottom portion of wedge, but still does the job. Hardware shows use, but not too beat up. In my opinion, the shape of the Colson stem is the most graceful of them all.

This is the exact headbadge that I purchased on ebay last month (ebay photos). I decided to use a Ludwig badge instead, because it matched my bike better. This Atlas badge is very cool and in great condition, but I just don't need one this good.
@Sportyworty posted this photo of a fender on a bike he recently purchased where a previous owner made an ever so delicate adjustment to allow for the fork blades. Thought this might be a good time to revive the attached thread. A great big "Thanks again" to @bairdco for his sage advice...
Enough projects and not enough room! Original paint on this one. Will really clean up easily for sure. Good condition with desirable guard, skiptooth chain, original seat, and nice wheelset but surface is a bit crusty in places. Rust on bike as shown. Missing pedals and light, which were gone...
Enough projects and not enough room! This one will really clean up nicely for sure. I don't feel like messing with another set of stuck pedals and the desirable deco stem. All original to the best of my knowledge, except for what I believe are the crank, pedals wheels, and tires. I had to cut...
I'd like to know the exact head tube length of a Cleveland Welding postwar boys bike that has a Shockmaster fork with the vertical truss rods. Please and thank you.
I have a boys frame with a G39497 serial number that I assumed was postwar because it does not have dropstand tangs (it does have chain adjusters). Even without the tangs, is it possible that this might be a 1940 prewar frame? Does the curve of the down tube provide a clue? The reason I ask, is...
Very solid tank in primer with no rust. Missing front springs and needs to be smoothed out where metal is bare. For the most part it fits very well, although there are portions on the front and rear that lift slightly away from the frame and would need a bit of tweaking. 3 indentations on each...
Completely rebuilt with very nice chrome! Does what it's supposed to do! Brake arm much nicer than it appears in the photo. If you need a 28 hole Schwinn approved rear hub you won't find one nicer, clean inside and out!!!

Each package contains 8 zinc plated riveted head fender bolts, 8 nuts, & 8 washers. Enough for 2 fenders Diameter of head is 3/8". Note some rivets may show shelf wear. Three Two packages of 8 left.
Photo indicates style only, not amount of rivets in package.
Nice completely rebuilt 36 hole rear hub with 10 tooth cog for skip tooth chain. very shiny with just a very few spots of small chrome loss. Works exactly as it should and presents well.
This bike is currently posted for sale on this site. Generally speaking, I'm not a huge advocate for complete restorations (certain exceptions apply). Maybe this could be one of those exceptions? Your thoughts?

Package of 20 Phillips Head screws and 20 washers. Enough for 10 bikes. These wouldn't be correct for an accurate restoration, but if you're not picky, they will work just fine to hold your headbadge in place. They fit my prewar Colson and prewar Cleveland Welding. Can’t say what other...
Complete speedometer in great condition. I have not tested it on any of my bikes, but based on condition, low miles, and the fact that the needle moves when drive wheel rotated by hand, I'm assuming this is a working speedometer. This is most likely one of the '80's reproductions. Yellow paint...
Nice straight stand. Brace not welded to the bottom of stand as typical of most, but doesn't affect stability. This is the second one of these that I've seen.
Seems there are two variations on the shoulder of these racks. The shoulder for the loop frames are wider than the ones made for the ribbed tank style models. I did a comparison on this subject ages ago. Thought it might still be helpful. Perhaps a bit late for some? Hopefully not...
Very nice condition and repaint as shown. No dents. Battery tray has a few small holes but nothing horrible. Working LED bulb puts out strong light. Hardware isn't original. incorrect bezel screw works but a tighter fitting one would be better. Tray has a couple small holes but nothing horrible...
Most never used. Head, manifold, and belt cover (fits NE5?) is from 1999 WC1. Rest of parts were purchased with NE5 kit in 2005 brand new. Wiring harness, turn signal lights, tail light, speedometer, belt tensioner, 2 exhaust covers, and a bunch of misc. hardware.
If I recall, I may have seen a couple of these frames before. Does anyone have a definitive answer as to why this frame has double braces? When typically these ladies frames had just a single brace on the down tubes.
Even if I had enough bearings, I couldn't figure out how to install them as the shafts are factory sealed. If you know how, I think $30 shipped is a fair deal for these Persons pedals without any blocks and with a scant few rusty bearings as a guide for sizing (taped to pedal). I've scraped the...
Meticulously cleaned with links moving freely. Exception is the 51 link that has a few that don't want to bend completely back. This wouldn't affect efficiency as chain would never be in this position when in use and will probably work itself out with usage.
56 Link - Condition as shown $55...
10 1/4 & 10 3/8 are two complete sets on right. I don't know exactly what gauge they are. but they are slightly wider than the 14 gauge that I compared them to. These sets are in very nice condition. The rest of the spokes are partial sets in several 10 plus inch sizes. None are 10 5/8 however...
I completely serviced these hubs several years ago, and they've just been sitting around here gathering dust, so it's time to move them along. All are 1/2" pitch. Tooth count upon request. All in very nice working condition. The two Musselman in the center have been SOLD. the Schwinn Approved...
These came off of a Harvard, which I believe was in the Rollfast product lineup. Angle is adjustable on rear brace. Thoroughly cleaned and waxed several years ago. Pitted yes, but with a pleasing appearance.
Picked up my new rainy day project from Evan @prewarmachine at the Keizer Swap yesterday. Put a little 0000 steel wool and WD40 to it on a small section. Looks very promising. We'll see. Plan on posting more about this one here once I get started. And this time I'm absolutely going to take some...
@mrg suggested "deading out" clear coat in the thread https://thecabe.com/forum/threads/1939-wards-hawthorne.223784/. How do you go about "deading out" clear coat
Got this bike all torn apart now. Started with the wheels yesterday, and amazingly, all double butted spokes were removed without too much effort. I soaked 'em in a citric acid bath and all are salvageable. Another soaking today and I'll call it good. But I did lose the cad plating. Haven't...
I know RRB has an "Ugly Bike Thread", but I couldn't seem to find one on this site. So here we go.
This beauty was posted recently in "All Things Schwinn" by @Goldenrod. Gee, I can't imagine why the little lady wouldn't have fond memories of it Ray?
