It's a Murray Parkcycle sold through Sears. unfortunately you can't date Sears serial #s. You can go to my site and look for something close in the Murray catalog section> But I would guess late 50's early 60's. >>>http://murrayeliminatormusclebikes.yuku.com/directory#.VghqVmufCcx
Best bet is to enter the serial #s into the Sears site and see if it comes back as a factory 10 spd bike. I looked in all the Sears ads I have from 1966-70 and couldn't find a 20" Murray made 10 spd bike.. here is the link to the sears site>>>...
MO7 would make it a 1967, the first year for the Eliminators. . As far as value. condition is everything. the paint on the frame looks nice, but the guard has some wear. I would put it at 200-300, more if you can find the right person that has to have it.
This is where I'm confused. All my research suggests that S would indicate 1960, and 1953 would be a J according to the catalogs i have> http://murrayeliminatormusclebikes.yuku.com/topic/200/1953-Murray-Bicycles-catalog#.VdBxUq2fCcw...
Can anyone help ID the year of the X53 I just picked up?.. Looks to be originally a black frame bike.. I have the serial #s but it seems these all had the same #s regardless of year? Any help would be much appreciated Thanks. Eddie
Well since I'm a Murray guy, I would say the MarkII Eliminator would be my choice, Not for durability or quality, but mainly for styling and wild factor. To me the Schwinn's have been the Volvo of bicycles.Because They were built more towards durable and safe then they are towards styling &...
If you like pedal cars. I just added the 1963 Murray Wheel goods catalog to the site> http://murrayeliminatormusclebikes.yuku.com/topic/199/1963-Murray-Wheel-goods-catalog#.VMMMGi4h9L8
Very Kool! as far as the Rims, I'm not sure if rollfast made their rims in house, or used an outside source. try looking on them for any markings, or stamps
Been awhile since I have posted here. so thought I would post a picture of my latest build. This started out as a F1 Eliminator coaster brake 20"x20" bike, I converted it into a 20"x16" With some Kool upgrades. Crusader Drag- O0on
judging by the redlines around the tires I would say late 60's to early 70's.

Yes that is an original Schwinn ad for the New Fastback. The bike used in that picture is a prototype. if you look close you will see a few differences from the actual production bike. Chain guard has no chrome strip and rear mounting is different, shifter looks to be longer and more pointed at...

No problem. The problem is, it depends on the year and retail store it was sold through to be able to tell what head badged they used on it. the serial #s tell the story on Murray bikes.

I have even heard for guy's cutting the rear drop outs off of early less desirable bikes and welding them on S/R frames. so you really need to know what to look for when buying these bikes! Another reason to collect un restored bikes or Nice original Survivers!...;)
