The bars are "New" that I bought from Scott here on the CABE several years ago. I used wood broomsticks in the ends to extend the bars as originals are almost impossible to find at a reasonable price!
Your bicycle was made in England by Phillips and imported by Indian. probably1950-54. You can find the actual date by looking for a number (two digits) stamped on the outer shell of the Sturmey Archer hub. The seat was not recovered but is new. It would have had a saddle like the one shown...
I wanted a Solexine Petro can and mounting bracket for display with my Solex. I couldnt find one in the US so I ordered from the Nederland. Just got it in the mail. Solex is not mine, I have mine disassembled for paint.
