I thought Original, Genuine, and Sunlite were more or less equal and maybe more of an unknown quantity but the skeptic in me views them as a bargain bin part. I’m certainly wrong a lot though.

This ain’t it though? There’s chrome and black...
I’m aware of all this. I’m not interested in participating in the BMX community any longer, too many dirtbags, plus I’m trying to spend less than $100.
I’ll probably buy that crappy Genuine brand one. Not from luxlow though, he gets $100 for his “prewar Schwinn BMX” klunker fork on feePay. It’s...
There are actually a poop load of 26” BMX cromoly forks available new, Landing Gear ones being on the affordable end of the spectrum as a matt of fact. I just want a bargain on some high-quality but unloved old bike parts, that’s half the “fun” right?
I don’t have torches or friends and I don’t...
Yeah I’ll cut them off if needed but to pay top dollar AND have to chop the canti mounts off, I dunno man. Might just be worth buying new at that point because I just want black anyhow…
I wouldn’t be here on the CABE asking for junk parts without scouring local resources first, which are reliably disappointing. The “deadline” for this “project” is nearing and I don’t want to over-pay for something that should be dirt cheap.
Curved or tubular? I don’t even care! I just want a...
I just want some cro-moly forks for a 26” wheel WITHOUT cantilever brake mounts.
Nothing too special right? There’s gotta be a million out there, but where?
EDIT: 1“ steer tube that’s at least 6” long
I’m almost positive that you can find a nos Wald bracket that would solve this problem perfectly with not much fussing. If it’s too shiny, I’d bet that oxidizing those brackets is easy.
Easier than reversing the process anyhow ;)
Good luck to ya!
His & Hers Huffy SilverJets $250!!
PRICE LOWEDED AGAIN!!1964 maybe, pair of SilverJets. Good shape, never any rust, lights and horn on boys bike work, girls is untested but I'm sure it's fine. The fender ornaments are not broken on either bike, girls bike is missing taillight assembly. Both...
I normally think a tall seat post looks unusual, to put it kindly, but this bike looks sweet! I really like it. Be careful on the bumps tho, it would be a shame to damage that frame:eek:
Also, some ape-hangers would make things super comfy!
This is the truth! About the only thing I do on this site is buy parts and if there isn't a picture I'm not interested. Even a link to pictures is totally lame and usually a waste of my time as a buyer.
Pics should be required if for nothing but the integrity of the forum.
I've been looking into this recently. Do you have any suggestions or experience to share? I'd hate to make the wrong decision with my precious plastic bits.
Shoot me some pics and prices if you don't mind.
I know... I'm not looking for cosmetic perfection tho, and I expect to take it all apart also. I just want a couple good riders. I might have better luck in AA, but whatever. No rush :)
WTB: Red Band Kickback FOUND!!
I'd like to get my hands on a couple red band kickback hubs. Pretty simple, I just don't care to pay three digit flea-bay prices.
THANKS!
