Four different crash rails. Sizes are on the photos but may be difficult to read. The half moon one is 11 1/2 inches total outside width and the mounting holes are 8 1/4 inch center to center. The one pictured with the half moon is 9 1/2 inch wide and 4 1/4 inch c to c. In the next photo, the...
I often find myself using the universal 3 speed cable setups because I can't locate the correct originals. The universal ones work fine but I dislike the clunky anchor bolt on the cable end. Here is my fix for that. I use the universal cable or a standard shift cable coupled with a double 1.5 mm...
Seems like this model of SA shifter is always missing the cover decal. I bought some 1/4 inch vinyl self stick numbers and stuck them on. Then I coated them with clear Gorilla glue. Not exactly pretty but gets the job done.
Never opened. Header is in not so great shape. Faded on one side and the hang hole is torn out. Cool display piece or put it on your favorite bike. Like a baseball card in the spokes on steroids.
Cool little 1 1/2 inch diameter toy top. Very nice shape as you can see in the photos. I will let this auction run for a minimum of 24 hours. The tiny lettering around the edge says "Pat. 11-16-1915 Parisian Nov. Co."
Royal Brand Bicycle Oil container. Some dirt, a few small dents and some paint loss. I'm sure it could be cleaned up by someone who knows what they are doing. I really like the fact that the spout can be removed and flipped 90 degrees to cap the can.
Picked two Schwinns yesterday from the thrift store. Black one is a 1962 American Deluxe missing the tank. Red one is 1963 but I'm not sure what model. I'm leaning towards a Corvette but can't see where what remains of the lettering on the chainguard resembles Corvette. It has a red band two...
Two Sampson brass tire plugs. Stamping on the disk is: Sampson Brass Plugs Pat. Apr 19 98 - Sep 5 99. I assume these are for repairing single tube tires.
8 cups, 4 each for 5/16 and 3/8 axles. All cups are just slightly over 1 inch outside diameter. Here is an opportunity to save those worn out Schwinn script front hubs. Some light rust from being stored in a damp environment.
Bars measure approximately 22 inches wide. Plating is fair. Grips have no cracks or splits but red jewels don't match. The ends of the grips surrounding the jewels has a few small gouges, probably from installing the reflector. I suspect the one that is taller is incorrect.
Removed from 1935 Hawthorne. Been awhile since I had the tires off, but I am fairly certain these are steel clad over wood. Obviously some plating issues, but no dents or dings. Front hub is New Departure SM and rear is Musselman Model M. Tires are a matched pair of General Commander 26 x 2.125...
Nice original Stewart Warner Clipper speedometer. Has some staining on the face and could use a cleaning, but condition is pretty good considering age. Was removed from a bicycle with 26 inch balloon tires but I believe the cable is long enough for a 28 inch wheel. The cable measures about 26...
Picked this up today. Headbadge reads top" The Geneva Bicycle Co." middle "The Geneva" and bottom "Geneva Ohio 1898". The little info I have says that the Geneva Bicycle Co. was in existence from 1895-1899. This one has a badly warped front wheel, is missing the front fender and some of the...
Bulb horns in varying completeness and condition. Some work and others are for parts or repair. All are steel or pot metal - no plastic. The two silver ones without bulbs in the middle of the top row are marked "Condor Horn".
Bearings have 6 - 1/4 inch balls which according to the charts is a #13. The #13 is supposed to be correct for Musselman and New Westfield. The cones fit a standar
d pitch 5/16 axle.
Hub was removed from a 24 inch girls balloon tire Monark. No markings on the hub shell and brake arm says "Monark" and in the upper right of the arm it appears to say "Model II". Oddly it has two oil ports. Does anyone know who might have manufactured this hub? Any info is welcomed.
Lot of 10 vintage wrenches, all or some for bicycle maintenance. Use or display. One in upper right is stamped "Binks Mfg. Co." and second down on right is stamped "Wald Maysville, KY USA". All others are unmarked.
A guy showed up with this bike and I bought it. I believe it is a 1955. It is made in Austria JC Higgins Deluxe 3 speed. Has the full chaincase, generator w/headlight and tail light and speedometer. Incorrect grips and missing frame pump and saddlebags. Everything works, the 3 speed, the...
Frame tube caps in good shape. Chrome plastic. Usually missing or broken. A helpful Cabe member pointed out that these will also fit Huffy Rail, Huffy Wheel, Slingshot and Sears Gremlin.
The first part of the week we saw some snow melt and by Wednesday the streets were mostly dry and we were thinking about dragging out the bikes. Then yesterday we got about 8 inches of snow with a possible 3 more today. Enough already!
Kinda beat and a tip broken off at the bottom. Says "48 Warren St. NY"; "Princeton" and "New Yor" - the "k" is broken off. Screw holes are 3 inches apart.
Same badge, different brands. Both say Westfield Mfg. Co. Holes are 2 1/8 inches apart. Some slight spots of paint and tarnish. Both badges are worn, especially the Pennant as the last half of the word is hard to read. Perhaps cleaning properly would make it stand out more.
