Anybody have a general idea what a murray firecat value is? Has the long copper forks, really nice OG paint with muffler style chain guard. Fenders has some paint loss but over all really nice shape. I have a lead on one. Not sure if it is worth exploring.
Just bought this. The bikes is at my mom's back in Wisconsin. I'll be back there mid-November and can drop ship to you. Willing to junk parts not worth shipping to cut down on shipping costs if you prefer. If it doesn't sell I will part out. Springer has a tube welded on truss rods. Buyer...

Looking for an original Schwinn pre/postwar straightbar. Must be original paint but doesn't have to be mint. Looking for a rider. Base models fine. Prefer a truss model with truss rods. Just want something to cruise around on. Looking to spend up to $300. Been out of the market so long I...
Need to sell by Tuesday.
1940 D serial number straight bar. I can fit my fist through straight bar like a b model bike. Must be a bc model with straight down tube. Rack is post war top, prewar legs but they look longer on flat part. Not sure what's going on there. Rims appear earlier more...
Wtf, I sold probably the nicest one in existence and it was much more rare than this. It was a switch tank in near mint condition with gothics. I think I sold it for $8k. Must have sold too cheap if this auction is indicative of the true market.
Tonys is half inch. No matter how much one hopes to rewrite history, that ring never came on a schwinn after 34-35, especially as late as 38-39. I'm not saying I've seen every bike but I have seen a ton and none ever had that.
All there but rusty. Tank (non-gilled), no locking fork, skinnier fenders, delta silver ray lens is good, troxel aerocycle seat, drop stand, cross brace bars, no rack. Pedal cut off from one side of crank. No holes in tank but will need need straightening. Cones with a bunch of 1950's license...
Like I said, it isn't gospel. Those specific numbers included definite features of that year's model. Highly likely leftover parts were used etc. I wanted to be accurate and not just fill in the gaps by guessing, like the previous list did.
Pull the prewar serial numbers from my site as I don't think I'll be renewing the URL in a couple months. Took me a long time to build that list. Not gospel but pretty damn accurate.
This is the last of my hardware. Enough for a complete bike, any model, includes crossbar speedo chrome screws. I didn't use crap hardware that he kooks on ebay sell that they buy from ace hardware with flat notches in the heads. This is a must for any restoration. $80 shipped.
I was reluctant to post it due to the the price and condition. I didn't want it to reflect poorly on me.
In fact, mods, please delete this thread. I don't want the liability.
My friend wanted me to post this. Sounds like the tank has some filler. This bike is his, I have never seen it, I don't know it's history, I have no association with it. The price, product, arrangements are all established by him. If you are interested call him. Please don't contact me...
Are the bomb and speedobar real? You can take the bomb off and lightly blow in the hole to see if it is hollow. I'm wondering how you even got the speedo cable to attach with it installed like that.
Last of some remaining parts I had laying around. Open to offers.
