this one popped up on a facebook garage sale app. it was mine 30 mins later. 19 73 super sport tall frame with original brooks b-15, for 5 bucks. making a good trade monday nite.

picked up this girls cruiser from the 80s. i saw the front wheel sticking out from under a tarp at a garage sale. using the straight fork on a klunker build. the front steer head basket on a yard art tricycle, and the rear paperboy basket on a grocery getter. not bad for 10 bucks.

decided to go on a ride today in downtown omaha. took some photos at memorial park, and remembered that some people gave all so that we could do the things we do today. a special thanks to all the service men and women! i also stopped at a antique shop that had some nice bikes.

picked this one up today at an estate sale. mismatched pedals, missing 1 chain adjuster, original seat?. who would be the maker on this one? anyone know an aprox value on these? would it have had a chain guard? paper badge? lots of questions on this one. forks are straight thou...

thanks rollfaster. i am still deciding what to do with her. my first thought was to strip it for parts. now i am not so sure.... hate to destroy a valuable bike, even if its a girls model. i think the fenders are aluminium.

lacing a wheel gets easier the more times you do it. ive done about 10 now, but still have to start over again on most of them.

welcome to the cabe! the blue bike is a schwinn racer, mid to late 60's. very nice riders. the second is most likely a schwinn also, but i am sure some of the experts will tell you more. nice bikes.

picked up these 2 seats and reflector pedals at the local community bike co-op. paid $ 10.00 for all of it. then i looked up the gt seat on feebay solds....when i go back next weekend i will give them some more cash, they do good work with kids, and a "build a bike program" for needy kids. good...

garage sale find. nothing great, but some much needed parts. the radar is something ive never seen.

amf made bike. prob. early 60's. shouldn't have to much trouble finding a tank to replace the rusted out part. i would clean it, ride it. not too much in the value department, lots of these around. welcome to the cabe. enjoy it.

i dont know, they were painted silver, along with the rims and chainring.

i picked up this schwinn heavyweight at a local thrift store today for 40 bucks. i haven't run the numbers yet, but was wondering what models were heavyweights? has a bendix automatic 2-speed hub. s-2's need completely respoked. frame is nice and straight. i think it was worth the 40 price just...

i grew up in socal and knew them as goosenecks.

this schwinn frame also qualifies for my crustiest bike i ever bought! looks like a 1950 frame. couldn't pass it up for a 10 spot. will be a perfect frame for a build i am thinking of.

i decided to chime in on this old thread. i sold 2 of these at the local farmers market last sunday. cleaning up some clutter too. i always seem to have an abundance of chains and posts.

packard 37' worlds fair bicycle chainguard? was looking thru my guards for a project i am working on, and came across this one. ive had it for over a year. was looking at tylers wf bike and got to looking at the guard. looks very close. did they repop these? or did they use them on other bikes...

if i am not mistaken, didn't these guys copy schwinn?
