    Styria? The original Sturmey Archer AW three speed is more trouble free. The Styria (Steyr Puch) is a reasonable though cheaper clone, but others report not as sturdy. Steyr wouldn't have had all the hard-won experience or the knowledge of the special cyanide steel hardening of key parts...

    I am writing a historical paper about the golden age of North American cruisers, say 1935-1955. Would any of you mind stepping on the bathroom scale, then repeat holding your cruiser, to get the actual bike weight. I'm thinking mainly heavyweights here, but any of the new-fangled (1954 on)...
