Without the serial number from the BB I would guess 1940. Reason I say that 1939 was the last year CWC used a straight down tube but they used up the previous years parts first. The 1940 CWC is the year they used chain guards that wrapped around the rear sprocket. The serial # is the most accurate.
I've used White Vinegar a lot but I don't recommend using it on painted parts. It won't eat the paint but it will get under the paint to eat the metal and that lifts the paint off. It works best when you can submerge the whole piece but beware of leaving it unattended for very long. As an...
Hi! I decided to let go of this only because I can get a few dollars out of it for my Florida Trip. Usually I would have cleaned up the metal for myself to make it look almost brand new but I'm selling it with the patina. It has one small scuff on one of the flat surfaces of the glass - it's...
Hi! Didn't know if I would have to part with this bike but then again I haven't ridden it since the day I got it. Some of the parts are already Sold and are marked as such. I've included a lot of pics and I'll do my best to describe each part. If you have any questions or want more pics let me...
Hi! I was going to sell these as a Wheel Set but there was so much Rust and Paint on the front Hub I couldn't find any markings and the Rear Morrow had a very Badly Bent Axel. So I Salvaged the not so Rusty Rims for someone to put a nice Wheel Set together. BTW - anyone interested in the Morrow...
Hi! This is one I really should have gotten around to doing something with - it's such a great style frame. Not the original paint though I think it might be the same colors. Both 26" Frame and Fork are in Great Condition, just waiting for a new home. In one day you could toss on some parts you...
Yes I do - It was a Girl's Bike - a Firestone maybe because it had a fancy rear tail light where the cheese grater is on most of the standard Monarks. I still remember that Purple Cheetos bike also - those are the only two I remember. Unique way of displaying a bike collection - hang them on the...
Hi! I saved these Fenders for years in case I could ever find a use for them just because they are so darn nice. Time to let them go to someone who can actually use them. These are the Original Paint, Crescent Shaped and all the Brace Joints are Solid - they really are nice Fenders. They are 2...
Hi! I bought these a few years ago because they were different - cross brace curves up. Picture 3 shot from the side is what they look like mounted on a bike in the upright position. There was a Columbia Decal on them when I received them but there was only about 30% of it left so I scraped the...
Hi! I had two blue Westfield/Columbias (one was badged Sterling) - a '39 and a '41 and I don't remember which one this wheelset came off of. It still has the original blue paint on it though the white pinstripes are pretty thin. The spokes are rusty so figure new spokes are needed. The Morrow...
Hi! This is another one of those projects I didn't have time for. This is a 1927 Bent Tank CWC that looks like it was a Roadmaster looking at the head tube. It's in pretty good condition for it's age. I can't take this with me to Florida so this should be a pretty good deal for someone. I'm a...
Hi! These cross Braced Handlebars were on a 1936 CWC Double Bar Roadster that was passed down probably 4 times counting the paint jobs. At one point the ends were bobbed and the outside corners are ground down to bare metal. In the last pic I laid a pair of repop grips that will work next to...
Hi! I've got 3 Saddles here if you need one, or even if you don't NEED one. All seats are plus Shipping and have the Original Seat Clamp ($10-$18 on Ebay). Thank you for looking. Robert
This Saddle is a Modern Rendition of a Classic Cruiser Saddle with Crash Bar (note the pointy springs)...
Hi! This was Cleveland Welding's version of the Fastback as compared to the Zep style. I think the Zep Style is the true Fastback because from the seat tube back the seat stays are straight much like a Fastback would be whereas the CWC seat stays continue the arc made by the top tubes and gives...
Hi! I've got two different wheelsets to sell - one is from my 1936 CWC Double Bar Roadster and the other is from a 1939 Bent Tank Framed Bike. All of the hubs need serviced. The selling price is the same for each wheelset - $60 plus shipping per wheelset, your choice. Thank you for looking...
Hi! This is a nice condition 1939 CWC Bent Tank Frame. Previous owner did the rattle can paint job. I'm moving to Florida so I'm going to be having some great Frame Sales Starting with this one. Selling Price is $60 Plus Shipping. I've got a few more where this came from. Thank you for looking...
Hi! I removed this from my 1936 CWC Double Bar Roadster as original equipment. No breaks in the springs - perfect for a restore or ride it the way it is (I'd put Black Duct Tape on it). I don't know who the maker was - no markings on the bottom - it was probably stamped in the leather.
Selling...
Hi! I'm going to be moving to Titusville, Florida to live near my 2 Boys finally so I'll be thinning out the herd so to speak. I bought this drop stand and clip as is about 7 years ago off eBay - had to outbid a bunch of people to get it. Then I bought the NOS (at the time) Shoulder Bolts for it...
BTW - the Chain Ring that is on this girl's bike may not be "correct" but CWC would randomly install any part that was laying around. I'm pretty sure that is the sprocket it was built with even though they are more commonly seen on a Cycle Truck. I have a 1941 girl's CWC Western Flyer with the...
I have no idea why this was incorporated into the design to begin with. Maybe someone had better luck with theirs than I did. Just the fact that I had to keep messing with it was enough to discourage me. Mine was on a 1941 non-CWC frame but had a CWC Springer - as built. I saw pics of another...
Just an observation - this fork was on a bike with a very unique front fender set up. Where you would normally bolt the fender to the bottom side of the fork you can see a block - originally black rubber now painted blue. This block sat down inside an indentation in the fender supposedly...
Wow! First time I've seen a matching pair of '53s and in really nice shape. I zoomed in and it looks like all the letters are on the one off badges also. I hope these never get parted out - very rare find.
